We are nearly at the midpoint of our school year! The second quarter ends on January 29th. It has been a great year for SCS in many ways. It's been a joy to have Miss Katie Martin return to us following her mission work in the Philippines. She is currently serving both as the school's Administrative Assistant as well as teaching a number of subjects. Miss Martin will also be serving as the administrator during Mr. Neely's absence.
One of the great blessings that has come this year has been seeing God's hand of providence towards SCS. Our Annual Fund campaign, which included the Tour de Faith bicycle ride of Papa J., has brought in more than twice the income that was our budgeted projection for the year. We have been able to help a number of families with tuition assistance. The auction committee has been pleased to see how generous our community can be with donations, so excitement about the auction has been building all along. Thus, we hope that we will not have to draw nearly as much from savings as was anticipated. God is good always! Mr. Neely will be heading down to Redding, CA on Monday, January 25th. His surgery is scheduled for Thursday, the 28th. If all goes well, he may be able to be back on at least a part time basis as early as the second week of February. As always we thank God for a school where He is honored and His truths are taught in all subjects. God's word and His revelation in the Lord Jesus Christ IS the only true foundation for education. That is why SCS exists. We ask that you pray always for the school, its staff and students. May His blessings uphold and sustain you.
Thank you for your faithful support of this school and its mission.
The Mission of Stayton Christian School is:
